MEMPHIS, Tennessee — Sleet and light snow fell before dawn over portions of West and Middle Tennessee.

In Memphis, a thin sheet of white covered the windshields of parked cars and left some highways and overpasses icy.

Several accidents were reported in Memphis Thursday morning, and there were significant backups on Interstate 40 and Interstate 240 in Memphis, along with the Interstate 40 and Interstate 55 bridges that connect Tennessee and Arkansas across the Mississippi River.

No injuries were immediately reported.
