Police: 1 dead, 4 injured in fatal car crash that shut down New Hampshire road

CHESTERFIELD, New Hampshire — Police say one person is dead after a car crash in New Hampshire.

WMUR-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1HR49sl ) Chesterfield authorities say the crash happened on State Route 63 at around 7:30 p.m. Sunday.

One person was killed and four others were injured. Emergency officials arrived at the scene and took the hurt victims to the hospital. It wasn't immediately known how serious their injuries are.

Police say the southbound lanes of Route 63 were temporarily closed from Route 9 to Twinbrook Road.

The crash remains under investigation.
