Motorcycle accident in Havre claims life of a man, injures another; neither wearing helmet

HAVRE, Montana — A 28-year-old man has died and another man has been injured in a motorcycle accident in Havre.

The Montana Highway Patrol says the accident occurred about 11:10 p.m. Friday when it failed to negotiate a left hand turn and hit a concrete barrier.

The patrol says the man who died was from Havre. The injured 25-year-old man is from Dillon.

No names have been released.

Neither man was wearing a helmet.

Investigators were not immediately able to determine who was driving the motorcycle.

KFBB-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1Cn8mEG ) that while alcohol was determined to have not been a factor, speed was a factor.
