Colorado Springs man convicted of stabbing roommate to death, dumping body near creek


COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado — A jury has convicted a 45-year-old Colorado Springs man accused of stabbing his roommate to death.

The Gazette reports ( ) Donald Becker was found guilty Wednesday of second-degree murder and tampering with physical evidence. He was arrested last April after 47-year-old Richard Card's body was found wrapped in bloodied blankets and hidden under a tarp along Monument Creek.

Becker is scheduled to be sentenced June 30.
