Police: Man found dead inside burning Brooklyn home suffered a neck wound, had been killed

NEW YORK — Police say a dead man discovered inside a burning Brooklyn home just blocks from the Cypress Hills National Cemetery had been killed.

Police say Romulo Heras had suffered a neck wound and classified his death a homicide Friday.

They say firefighters discovered the 61-year-old's body inside the East New York home as they were extinguishing a blaze there shortly after 9 a.m.

They say no arrests have been made.
