Delaware police identify man struck, killed while trying to cross Interstate-95


WILMINGTON, Delaware — Delaware State Police are identifying a man struck and killed while trying to walk across Interstate 95 in Wilmington.

Troopers say 35-year-old John Manista of Delaware City was trying to cross the highway's southbound lanes early Wednesday near Martin Luther King Boulevard when he was hit by a car.

Police say Manista was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car and his passenger were not hurt.

The crash remains under investigation.
