WASHINGTON — Laurence Fishburne, Broadway star Laura Benanti and the next winner of "American Idol" will be joining the lineup for this year's National Memorial Day Concert on the Capitol lawn.
On Wednesday, producers are announcing the list of entertainers who will appear at the concert. The event honors the nation's veterans and service members. Gloria Estefan was previously announced as the featured performer.
The concert will be broadcast live Sunday, May 24, from 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on PBS stations. Actors Gary Sinise and Joe Mantegna will host the concert for the 10th year.
This year's lineup also includes actors Esai Morales and Jason Dolley, musician Katherine Jenkins and Tessanne Chin, who won TV's "The Voice" in 2013. Tenor Russell Watson will perform in concert with the National Symphony Orchestra.
