GULFPORT, Mississippi — A South Mississippi man has pleaded guilty to a federal charge of possession of child pornography.

The Sun Herald reports (http://bit.ly/1EIVDOH ) a federal grand jury in January indicted 48-year-old Timothy Winfred Miller on possession and distribution of child pornography. The distribution charge was dropped in exchange for his plea.

Miller is facing a maximum prison term of 10 years and a fine of up to $250,000. His sentencing is set for May 15 before District Judge Sul Ozerden.

The indictment says Miller in April 2013 distributed in Harrison County depictions of children engaged in sexual acts over the Internet.
