BOSTON — The Red Sox have bolstered their bullpen by recalling right-hander Steven Wright from Triple-A Pawtucket on Saturday.

To make room, they optioned Friday's loser Noe Ramirez to Pawtucket.

The 30-year old Wright (3-2) is with the club for the fourth time this season. The knuckleballer has started four games and worked out of the bullpen seven times.

Ramirez, selected from Pawtucket on Friday, gave up four runs — two earned — in the 10th inning of a 12-8 loss. It was his major league debut.

The Red Sox used five relievers in Friday's loss.
