Third-year LSU law student indicted on various sex crime counts involving 2 women


BATON ROUGE, Louisiana — A third-year LSU law student accused of twice raping a 26-year-old woman last year and of raping a 24-year-old woman in 2012 as been indicted on various sex crime counts.

On Wednesday, an East Baton Rouge Parish grand jury charged 26-year-old Abdellatif E. Devol with forcible rape, simple rape, sexual battery and attempted forcible rape.

The Advocate reports ( ) Devol was arrested in September 2013 and is free on bail. GPS monitoring is part of his supervision while he is out on bail.

It is unclear whether Devol has an attorney.
