Police: 4 men burglarize Long Island home, beat 2 people with baseball bat


WEST ISLIP, New York — Authorities say four men burglarized a Long Island home and beat two people inside with a baseball bat.

Newsday reports ( ) the suspects were arrested Sunday after someone inside the West Islip house gave responding officers their descriptions.

Police say an officer arrested the men when he saw two men fitting the description outside a vehicle and two more inside the car.

Investigators say 18-year-old Joseph Cardona, 18-year-old Edward Flaherty, 20-year-old Frank Fabozzi and 18-year-old Thomas Hillier were charged with burglary.

It's unclear if they have attorneys who could comment on the charges.

The victims suffered injuries that aren't life-threatening.
