Elementary school bus crashes near Albany; no students hurt, but car driver is injured

CLIFTON PARK, New York — Police say a driver was injured after failing to yield the right of way to an elementary school bus north of Albany. No one on the bus was injured.

State police and Shenendehowa Central Schools officials say a bus carrying 12 students was struck by a car pulling out of the high school entrance Friday morning. The bus was carrying students from three elementary schools. All of the students were checked by medical personnel at the scene.

Troopers say the driver of the car suffered what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

The scene was cleared by 9 a.m.
