2-year-old child injured in shooting in western Kentucky

CADIZ, Kentucky — Kentucky State Police say they are investigating the shooting of a 2-year-old child.

Police said officers were called to the home of David Southwick in Trigg County on Tuesday evening and found the child with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the head.

Police say the shooting appears accidental. The investigation is continuing.
