Light snow falling in parts of northern Arizona; showers may continue Wednesday evening

FLAGSTAFF, Arizona — Parts of northern Arizona are getting light snow Wednesday.

The National Weather Service reports that there was a half-inch of snow on the ground in Bellemont west of Flagstaff at 5 a.m.

Forecasts call for accumulations of up to 1 inch at Flagstaff and the Grand Canyon's south rim on Wednesday, with a chance of snow showers in the evening.
