Police: Man charged with rape after pushing his way into woman's Upper Manhattan apartment


NEW YORK — New York City police have arrested a man wanted for raping a woman after forcing his way into her Upper Manhattan apartment.

Jean Rodriguez of the Bronx was arrested Thursday and charged with rape, burglary and other charges.

He allegedly raped the 20-year-old woman Tuesday after pushing his way into her Washington Heights apartment when she answered the door.

The victim was taken to a hospital in stable condition.

It was not immediately known if the 23-year-old suspect had a lawyer.
