Both uninsured, covered residents urged to check options as second enrollment season begins

CONCORD, New Hampshire — The second sign-up season under President Barack Obama's health care overhaul law is underway, and New Hampshire officials say even people who already have coverage should explore their options.

Given that there are now five companies instead of one offering health plans in New Hampshire, insurance officials say even people who purchased plans last year should take another look, especially since the tax credits that subsidize coverage have changed.

Others who are covered by individual plans outside the marketplace also may want to explore their options. That would include the thousands of people who have remained on plans that don't comply with the health law.
