NEW YORK — D.C. United forward Fabian Espindola was suspended for two games and fined an undisclosed amount by Major League Soccer on Friday for violent conduct toward Montreal Impact midfielder Felipe Martins.

MLS also fined Portland Timbers midfielder Maximiliano Urruti an undisclosed amount for simulation late in a 2-2 home tie against FC Dallas on June 11.
