Beazer Homes posts 4Q profit, results beat Wall Street estimates


ATLANTA — Beazer Homes USA Inc. (BZH) on Wednesday reported fiscal fourth-quarter profit of $59.8 million.

The Atlanta-based company said it had profit of $1.88 per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs and to account for discontinued operations, were $2.05 per share.

The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.06 per share.

The homebuilder posted revenue of $545.9 million in the period, also beating Street forecasts. Analysts expected $509.7 million, according to Zacks.

Beazer shares have dropped 21 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has increased 2 percent in the last 12 months.
