Delta restarting direct Burlington-Atlanta flights

BURLINGTON, Vermont — Delta Air Lines is restarting direct flights between Vermont's Burlington International Airport and Atlanta after a nearly four-year absence.

Flights are now scheduled to leave Burlington at 7:15 a.m. and arrive in Atlanta at about 9:45 a.m. The flight from Atlanta is scheduled to leave at 8:30 p.m. and land in Burlington at about 11 p.m.

A previous route was stopped in October 2009 because there wasn't enough demand. Officials say that has since changed.
