Man pulling shopping cart across road hit, killed by truck in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS — Authorities say a 53-year-old man who was pulling a shopping cart across a street in Las Vegas is dead after being hit by a truck.

Police say the crash happened at about 7:30 p.m. Sunday on Bonanza Road, east of Lamb Boulevard.

Witnesses say the man was crossing the road outside of a crosswalk when he walked into the path of a Chevy S-10.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not yet been released.

Police say the 77-year-old truck driver from Las Vegas was not injured.
