State Court of Appeals to hear oral arguments in cases at Mississippi State, USM

JACKSON, Mississippi — The Mississippi Court of Appeals will hear oral arguments on the campuses of two universities this month.

The court's stops at the University of Southern Mississippi on Nov. 13 and at Mississippi State University on Nov. 18. The court periodically hears cases on college campuses as a teaching tool for students and the public.

At USM, a three-judge panel will hear a worker's compensation case from Prentiss County and an armed robbery case from Adams County. The arguments will be held at Thad Cochran Center.

At Mississippi State, a panel will hear an armed carjacking case from Bolivar County and a drug case from Harrison County. Defendants in both cases are represented by law students from the University of Mississippi.

The cases will be heard at the Hunter Henry Center.
