MESA, Arizona — Mesa police have identified a man fatally shot by an officer after the man allegedly approached officers in a threatening manner.

Police said 33-year-old Adam Edward Dujanovic of Phoenix was fatally shot Monday after officers responded to a disturbance call near Broadway Road and Mesa Drive.

According to police, an officer shot Dujanovic after Dujanovic grabbed a steel pole, started to walk toward officers in a manner that made them feel threatened and ignored a command to stop.

Police say no officers were injured.
