Free public lecture at the University of Alaska Fairbanks to look at Alaska sea ice

FAIRBANKS, Alaska — University of Alaska Fairbanks officials say a free public lecture on Alaska sea ice is set to take place on campus next week.

The lecture, called "Alaska Sea Ice: Hazards and Uses," will be held Wednesday evening at the Schaible Auditorium. The event begins at 5:30 p.m.

Officials say the lecture will be presented by research professor Hajo Eicken.
