BILOXI, Mississippi — Biloxi police are investigating a theft at the Sears store in Edgewater Mall.

Lt. Christopher DeBack tells The Sun Herald (http://bit.ly/1w1UKYN ) officers arrested 19-year-old Bethany Meja Cheramie, of Pascagoula, on Wednesday after discovering she had allegedly stole more than $2,000 worth of merchandise in order to sell it.

DeBack says Cheramie was charged with embezzlement and taken to the Harrison County jail.
