STOVER, Missouri — A man will be sentenced May 5 for the deaths of an elderly central Missouri couple in their isolated home.

Ronald Blowers of Stover entered an Alford plea on Friday to five charges, including two counts of second-degree murder in the December 2012 deaths of 82-year-old Wayne Wells and 71-year-old and Mable Wells. They were found dead in their home in Ivy Bend, south of Stover.

The Lake Sun Leader reports (http://bit.ly/1NrYJHX ) the plea agreement did not include a recommended sentence.

Autopsy results indicated the couple died from blunt force trauma and other injuries.

Investigators believe the couple was killed during a robbery attempt.
