Louisville police investigating death of pedestrian struck by car that ran off road

LOUISVILLE, Kentucky — Louisville police say a pedestrian was killed when he was struck by a car that ran off the road.

According to The Courier-Journal (http://cjky.it/1sNkbgU), the man was walking in the grass near an intersection when he was struck around 4 p.m. Saturday. Officials say the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

Neither the victim nor the driver of the car has been identified, and it's unclear why the driver ran off the road. Police did say he wasn't injured.

An investigation is ongoing.
