COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated left wing Matt Calvert off injured reserve after he missed four games with an upper-body injury.

In addition, the club claimed defenseman Kevin Connauton off waivers from the Dallas Stars and assigned defenseman Frederic St-Denis to its American Hockey League affiliate in Springfield, Massachusetts.

The 24-year-old Calvert had one goal and one assist with six penalty minutes in nine games this season prior to being injured Nov. 7 at Carolina.

Connauton, also 24, has one goal and nine assists with 22 penalty minutes in 44 career NHL games, all during the past two seasons with the Stars. He was Vancouver's third pick, 83rd overall, in the 2009 draft.
