Roanoke truck stop casino employee accused of taking more than $40,000 from her employer


ROANOKE, Louisiana — A Roanoke truck stop casino employee is accused of taking more than $40,000 from her employer over the past year.

Jefferson Davis parish authorities tell the American Press ( 54-year-old Felicity Hebert, of Mermentau, was booked with felony theft.

Sheriff 's Office spokesman Christopher Ivey says deputies obtained information from the Petro's Truck Stop Casino bookkeeper that an employee had taken money and used it to gamble on video poker machines.

Ivey says Hebert admitted stealing the money and said she has gambling problem.

Hebert is being held on a $40,000 bond.

Online jail records did not list an attorney for Hebert
