PSV Eindhoven beats Dordrecht 3-0 to take another step toward 1st Eredivisie title since 2008

AMSTERDAM — PSV Eindhoven took another major step toward its first Dutch league title since 2008 by beating last-placed Dordrecht 3-0 Sunday while four-time defending champion Ajax could only draw 1-1 at Willem II Tilburg.

The results left PSV 14 points ahead of Ajax with 10 rounds to play in the Eredivisie.

PSV took an early lead in Eindhoven through a Jeffry Fortes own goal. Striker Luuk de Jong made it 2-0 from the penalty spot in the 62nd minute and defender Jeffrey Bruma completed the scoring eight minutes later.

Striker Arek Milik gave struggling Ajax the lead against Willem II in Tilburg, but Ali Messaoud equalized in the 52nd and Samuel Armenteros missed a golden chance late in the game to steal victory for Willem II.
