AUBURN, Alabama — Auburn has signed forwards Sam Logwood III and Jack Purchase to play for the Tigers next season.
Coach Tony Barbee announced Tuesday that both have signed national letters of intent.
The 6-foot-7, 205-pound Logwood of Indianapolis averaged 18 points and 7.4 rebounds as a junior. He finished second on his team in both steals and blocks.
Barbee calls him "one of the best defensive wings in the country" and says he has a chance to make an instant impact.
Purchase is a 6-10 forward from Victoria, Australia. He averaged 21.3 points, 8.7 rebounds and 5.8 assists for the Melbourne Tigers last season.
Purchase made 48 percent of his 3-pointers.
He played for the U17 national team that won a silver medal at the world championships.
