MONTPELIER, Vermont — Vermonters across the state are taking part in the annual spring tradition of picking up litter left behind after winter.
Saturday is the 45th annual Green Up Day, which was started in 1970 to remove trash from the interstate and road sides.
Thousands of Vermonters are expected to participate in cleaning up the landscape.
