MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. — Authorities in Baxter County are investigating the death of a 3-month-old baby boy.
Sheriff John Montgomery says the boy's mother called 911 shortly after midnight Monday.

The sheriff says the parents told authorities that they put the baby to bed at about 10 p.m. Sunday. Montgomery says the mother awoke a few hours later and discovered the child was not breathing.
The child's body will be sent to the state crime lab for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
