HAMILTON, New York — Worth Smith sank the game-winning basket with 13 seconds left as Navy rallied from a 10-point deficit to edge Colgate 70-69 on Saturday.

Smith sank a pair of 3-pointers and the winning layup in the final 1:14 for eight of the 11 points the Midshipmen (10-16, 6-8 Patriot League) needed to go from trailing 69-59 to secure the win. He finished with 22 points and five rebounds. Will Kelly scored 12 points and Bryce Dulin had 11.

The Raiders (12-15, 9-5) led 35-24 at the break and extended their lead in the second half to 15, 53-38, on a pair of back-to-back 3s by Damon Sherman-Newsome with 12:35 left. But the Midshipmen battled back and finished with an 11-0 run including Smith's eight points, a Kelly layup and a free throw by Earl McLaurin.

Ethan Jacobs led Colgate with 19 points and seven boards.
