Zack Denny's 17 points, 10 boards for Bowling Green key 58-46 win over Ball State

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio — Zack Denny scored 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead Bowling Green to a 58-46 win over Ball State on Saturday.

Richaun Holmes and Spencer Parker added 11 points apiece for Bowling Green (11-4, 3-1 Mid-American), which overwhelmed Ball State (7-8, 2-2) at the foul line with a 19-5 advantage in made free throws. Denny, Holmes and Parker each went 5 for 6 from the line.

Tied at 33 with 14:25 to go, Bowling Green broke away with 10-straight points, including a 3-pointer from Denny, before Ball State's Anthony Henderson sank a 3 at the other end to snap the streak. But the Falcons, who lead the MAC in scoring defense, responded with an 8-0 run and held Ball State to its lowest score of the season.

Zavier Turner led Ball State with 14 points and Matt Kamieniecki had 11 rebounds.
