NORTHWOOD, Iowa — A Kensett man has pleaded guilty to a charge of vehicular homicide for a crash that killed a Minnesota man.
The Mason City Globe Gazette says (http://bit.ly/1bo5OZD) 47-year-old Michael Chodur entered the plea in late November. Before the plea, he had been set to stand trial on charges of vehicular homicide and operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
No sentencing date has yet been set.
Authorities say Chodur and 57-year-old Lynn Weedman, of Glenville, Minnesota, were driving in separate vehicles east on a Worth County road on Sept. 2, 2012, when Chodur's car struck the back of Weedman's.
Both drivers were injured. Weedman died three days later at an Iowa City hospital.
