MILLVILLE, New Jersey — Officials say an 8-year-old girl has died after a weekend crash that also killed two drivers in southern New Jersey.

Millville Rescue Squad Chief John Redden said Monday the girl died at Cooper University Hospital in Camden. Redden tells the Press of Atlantic City that 22-year-old Christopher Platt and 49-year-old Michelle Zenchuk also died.

The crash happened at about 4:15 p.m. Sunday as Platt was approaching an intersection. He lost control of his vehicle and spun into Zenchuk's car. Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene.

Redden says the 8-year-old went into cardiac arrest after being pulled from the car. He says the girl's aunt was one of the EMTs who worked on her.

A 3-year-old girl injured in the crash is at Cooper. Officials didn't disclose her condition.
