LARAMIE, Wyoming — Wyoming senior forward Larry Nance Jr. has been medically cleared to participate in full practices for the upcoming 2014-15 basketball season.

University of Wyoming men's basketball coach Larry Shyatt said Tuesday the Mountain West Preseason Player of the Year is back in shape after he suffered a torn ACL in his right knee on Feb. 18.

Shyatt said the coaching staff will continue to be conservative with their approach to Nance's rehabilitation.

Last season, Nance earned All-Mountain West first team and All-Defensive Team, despite suffering a season-ending knee injury on Feb. 18.

Nance is the first Cowboy to be named to the preseason all-conference team since Brandon Ewing in 2008-09 and the first Cowboy to earn preseason player of the year since Ewing in 2007-08.
