Ohio to report May revenue from 4 casinos; total dipped in April but beat previous year

COLUMBUS, Ohio — New totals from state regulators will show whether May revenue from Ohio's four casinos topped the $69.5 million they brought in during April.

The Ohio Casino Control Commission was scheduled to release its monthly revenue report on Monday.

April's total dipped by about $3.4 million from the previous month but topped the monthly number from a year earlier. Revenue was up from March for the Columbus casino but down for the others in Cincinnati, Cleveland and Toledo.

The four facilities have generated nearly $275 million in revenue so far this year. About one-third of that is collected in taxes and given mostly to counties, school districts and host cities.
