1 of 2 people who died in DC house fire identified

WASHINGTON — Police have identified one of two people who died in a house fire in a northwest rowhouse.

Detectives said Thursday that 24-year-old Michael Patrick McLoughlin died in Wednesday's blaze.

The fire broke out around 2:30 a.m. at a three-story rowhouse in the 1600 block of Riggs Road northwest. Officials say another adult died in the fire, and two other people and three firefighters were injured.
