MISSOULA, Montana — Firefighters responded to a blaze at a Missoula apartment building that injured one resident and damaged four apartments.

The Missoulian ( ) reports firefighters were called to the building near downtown at about 12:10 a.m. Sunday.

They found heavy smoke and flames coming from the second floor but were able to contain the fire to the apartment where it started. The resident of that apartment sustained minor injuries and smoke inhalation. No one else was injured.

Missoula Fire Department assistant chief Jeff Brandt says the damage estimate is $75,000 and the fire is under investigation.
