North Dakota man dies in pickup crash in southeastern Montana

BILLINGS, Montana — A 21-year-old man from New Town, North Dakota, died in a weekend pickup crash in southeastern Montana.

The Montana Highway Patrol says the man was southbound on Highway 4 near Lame Deer just before 4:30 a.m. Saturday when he failed to make a slight right turn. The pickup crossed the median, went off the road and rolled, coming to rest on its passenger side.

The Billings Gazette reports (http://bit.ly/11qxLzg ) the man died at the scene. His name has not been released.

The crash is being investigated by the patrol and the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
