KANSAS CITY, Kansas — Sporting Kansas City has waived midfielder James Marcelin and mutually agreed to part with midfielder Jorge Claros, a member of Honduras' national team.

The 28-year-old Marcelin, who has also played for Portland and Dallas, was acquired in December. The Haitian national team member appeared in three preseason matches.

Claros, who was picked up last July, appeared in eight MLS matches and four games during the CONCACAF Champions League group stage.

With the removal of the two players from the Sporting KC roster, the club has two international roster spots available.
