Driver shot in face on Orange County street but is expected to survive; no arrests made

GARDEN GROVE, California — A man driving with his family has been shot in the face in Orange County.

Garden Grove police say a bullet went through the back window of the Lexus SUV and into the man's cheek Sunday night. He's expected to survive.

The man told officers he believed two cars were racing toward him from behind when he heard a gunshot and was hit. Another bullet hit his headrest.

His wife in the passenger seat and 10-year-old son in the back seat weren't hurt.

No arrests have been made. Authorities say one of the cars was a late-model white Cadillac SUV.
