Bills receiver Watkins says he'll 'definitely' return from ankle injury, play Sunday vs Miami

ORCHARD PARK, New York — Buffalo Bills receiver says he's set to return from an ankle injury and play Sunday against the Miami Dolphins.

"I'll definitely be out there," he said Friday.

Watkins is listed as questionable. He didn't practice Friday, a day after having a setback in practice.

The Bills' top receiver has been sidelined since hurting his left ankle while catching a touchdown pass against Cincinnati on Oct. 18.

Watkins' ankle was heavily taped while he worked with a trainer off to the side Friday morning.

Watkins said his ankle will be a hindrance and will affect his ability to make cuts down the field. He is known for his speed and elusiveness.

"I think I'll be well enough to make some plays," Watkins said. "It just depends on how the game is going. I've got to manage myself and know the game plan (for) me coming in and how to treat my ankle. When I catch the ball, just run straight, don't do no crazy moves and get back to the huddle."

Watkins is hoping to reverse a difficult start to the season. He has just 11 catches for 147 yards and two touchdowns in four games.

His return will certainly be welcome. Buffalo (3-4) has been hampered by injuries on offense this season, with standouts such as Watkins, quarterback , running back and fellow receiver all missing significant portions of time.

Harvin (knee) and defensive tackle (knee) are out this weekend when the Bills host Miami (3-4). Taylor (knee), running back (concussion) and right tackle (concussion) are all probable and set to return.
