Northglenn police officers shoot, wound man they say opened fire on them


DENVER — Northglenn police officers say they shot and wounded a man who opened fire on them.

Sgt. Ron Haralson tells KMGH-TV in Denver ( ) that two officers responded to the area after someone reported a man with a gun at about 3:45 p.m. Wednesday.

Haralson says the gunman opened fire on the officers, who fired back and hit him. The man, whose name has not been released, was taken to a nearby hospital.

Neither of the officers was injured, and the suspect's condition has not been released.
