Disturbance outside Englewood apartment ends in a police shooting


ENGLEWOOD, Colorado — Englewood police say a man who created a disturbance outside his apartment was shot by police officers on Saturday.

According to the Denver Post ( ), the 27-year-old suspect was taken to Swedish Medical Center. Police did not release his name and said the extent of his injuries was not known.

Authorities say the man was causing disturbance outside his apartment and when a neighbor asked him to quiet down, the man pointed a gun and threatened him.

The neighbor called police and the man was shot during a confrontation.

The officers were not injured and have been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation.
