SHREVEPORT, Louisiana — A Michigan man is in custody, accused of raping two Caddo (KAH-doh) Parish girls.
Sheriff Steve Prator says 40-year-old Roy Arlen Vannortrick was arrested by the U.S. Marshal's Task Force in Eaton Rapids, Michigan, on Oct. 31. He was extradited to Caddo Parish on Tuesday and booked into the Caddo Correctional Center on two counts of aggravated rape.
Bond was set at $1 million. It was not immediately known if he had an attorney.
Authorities say Vannortrick is accused of sexually abusing the girls repeatedly when he lived in the parish in 2009 and 2010. The girls were under age 13 at the time of the alleged crimes.
Detective Jared Marshall describes Vannortrick as a family friend.
