LAS VEGAS — Police say a 53-year-old man is dead after being hit by a car while crossing a street in Las Vegas.
Authorities say the man wasn't in a crosswalk when he was struck a little after 8 p.m. Wednesday on North Lamb Boulevard north of Desert Inn Road.
Police say the man was taken to Sunrise Hospital, but succumbed to his injuries shortly after. His name hasn't yet been released.
The 48-year-old woman who was driving the car that hit him stayed at the scene.
Officials say this is the 106th traffic-related death so far this year in Las Vegas police jurisdiction.
