SOUTHAMPTON, England — Both sets of fans called for Newcastle manager Alan Pardew to be fired after Southampton thrashed the demoralized Magpies 4-0 in the English Premier League with Graziano Pelle inspiring Ronald Koeman's new-look side at St Mary's on Saturday.

Summer signing Pelle's brace was complemented by goals from Jack Cork and Morgan Schneiderlin.

Pelle headed home with just six minutes on the clock, and the Italian soon added another from close range. Cork's first league goal for the club and a late curling effort from Schneiderlin increased the pressure on Pardew.

Both sets of fans chanted "you're getting sacked in the morning."

An angry Newcastle supporter was stopped after running on to the pitch at the end of the game.

Newcastle has two points from four games.
