Elk and mountain goat seasons and hunting group size up for discuss at next GFP meeting

BROOKINGS, South Dakota — This year's South Dakota elk and mountain goat hunting seasons and a proposal to clarify the size of hunting groups are among the issues on the agenda at the state Game, Fish and Parks Commission meeting.

Commissioners will take action on those issues April 1-2 at their monthly gathering in Brookings at the Days Inn.

Written comments on the above proposals can be sent to GFP in Pierre or emailed to wildinfo@state.sd.us. To be included in the public record, comments must be received by 12 p.m. CDT on April 1 and include your full name and city of residence.

The public hearing will begin at 2 p.m. CDT on April 1.
